About the Product Family
RAPLAN™ are thermoplastic elastomers on a styrene-butylene-styrene basis (TPE-SBS) from TRINSEO. They possess a hardness range from 20 Shore A to 50 Shore D. RAPLAN™ retains its flexibility at low temperatures down to -50 °C.
The compound is heat and UV-sensitive due to the unsaturated structure of SBS. Application areas for RAPLAN™ from TRINSEO are found in the automobile interior, for example, handles.
