E-LOOP MR

ELIX Polymers' E-LOOP products are sustainable solutions and circular innovations. The advantage of this innovative product portfolio is that fossil resources are replaced with circular and sustainable raw materials. E-LOOP MR (Mechanical Recycling) comprises ABS, ABS/PC, or PC/ABS blends with a specified proportion of mechanically recycled ABS or PC. This significantly reduces the carbon footprint. The MR products are available in black, and selected OEM black shades are also possible.

The sustainable ABS portfolio includes ELIX ABS E-LOOP H605 MR, which bridges the gap between standard ABS and high-heat ABS and is attractive for automotive applications due to its product properties. Its properties include improved heat resistance, low emissions, and good flowability. ELIX E-LOOP P2H-AT MR is a sustainable standard ABS grade with good material properties. This product is characterized by very high flowability and high gloss. It also contains an antistatic agent. This product solution is suitable, for example, for the production of housing components and covers. Both products contain approximately 40 percent ABS from post-consumer recycling (PCR).

The sustainable portfolio also includes blends with E-LOOP H801 MR (ABS + PC), Ultra 4105 MR (ABS + PC), PC/ABS E-LOOP 5120 MR, and ELIX PC/ABS E-LOOP 5130 MR. These blends are characterized by high heat resistance, rigidity, excellent impact strength, and flowability. Due to their good paintability and low emissions compared to primary versions, they are ideal for the automotive industry and other sectors, such as mechanical engineering. The recycled component is polycarbonate, which accounts for approximately 30 percent of the formulation. The source for this is post-industrial recycling (PIR).
