ABS

Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) from ELIX Polymers is an amorphous thermoplastic produced in an emulsion process and therefore has a very high degree of gloss. ELIX ABS is characterised in particular by its excellent mechanical properties and good flow behaviour. It is also easy to paint.

The ABS electroplating grades ELIX ABS P2MC (ABS Galvano) and ULTRA 4115 PG (ABS+PC Galvano) have a high surface quality for optimum chrome plating thanks to their homogeneous distribution of butadiene particles.

We offer various temperature-resistant ABS grades from ELIX Polymers especially for the automotive industry, such as the low-emission and low-odour ABS High-Heat grades ABS HH 3105, HH 3110 and HH 3114 for interior applications. The ABS grades are also already coloured in the desired automotive colour of the respective OEM. The automotive grades are listed by many OEMs or comply with OEM standards.

ABS is also frequently used for polycarbonate blends such as ABS+PC and PC+ABS; ELIX has various blends in its product portfolio that can be used in automotive interiors and exteriors, e.g. ELIX H801 (ABS+PC), 5120, ULTRA 4105 and ULTRA HH 4115 HI. These are characterised by improved or very high impact strength and high heat resistance.

For applications with food contact, in cosmetic containers or toys, ABS Chemical Compliance (CC) from ELIX Polymers is the right solution. The products are manufactured in accordance with the Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) and product-specific declarations of conformity are provided depending on requirements or standards. We also offer other ABS solutions, such as the well-known ELIX P2H-AT (high-gloss ABS).

ABS and ABS/PC blends from ELIX Polymers are available in the colours natural and black. Many types are also available in numerous RAL, automotive and special colours as well as with UV stabilisation.
