About the Product Family

ALTUGLAS™ is the brand for PMMA products from TRINSEO. The amorphous plastic PMMA is also known as acrylic glass and is characterised in particular by its high brilliance, transparency, light transmission, UV and weather resistance.

PMMA has a high surface hardness and is therefore less sensitive to scratches than other plastics. Due to its special properties, PMMA is often used as a lightweight and shatterproof material for the manufacture of glazing. ALTUGLAS™ is ideally suited for outdoor use and has a low tendency to absorb moisture and does not yellow.

The ALTUGLAS™ portfolio includes a wide range of PMMA grades for injection moulding and extrusion. Impact-resistant grades and light-diffusing grades are also available for special applications. With the R-Life product range, sustainable PMMA solutions with a reduced carbon footprint are also available.
