About the Product Family
THERMX® PCT from Celanese is a high-temperature resistant polyester with a polycyclohexylenedimethyleneterephthalate (PCT) base. THERMX® polyester is particularly temperature and hydrolysis resistant and can be used at higher temperatures of up to 255°C for short periods. THERMX® PCT is chemically similar to polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and shows a comparable dimensional stability and chemical resistance.
The moisture absorption of THERMX® -PCT from Celanese is low. Moreover, the high-performance thermoplastic THERMX® polyester offers good resistance to creepage currents and electric arcs. The THERMX® products from Celanese are available as glass-fibre and/or mineral reinforced injection moulding grades and are extremely easy to process.
