About the Product Family
IMPET® from Celanese is a thermoplastic polyester for injection moulding, with a polyethylene terephthalate base and glass fibre reinforcement. IMPET® PET has outstanding strength, rigidity, dimensional stability and toughness. A further benefit of IMPET® from Celanese is its excellent resistance to heat distortion, chemicals and weather.
IMPET® polyethylene terephthalate has good slip properties, is wear resistant and has an extremely high creep resistance as well as very good electric and dielectric properties. Glass-fibre reinforced IMPET® products from Celanese are possible solutions for large, rigid components or parts that require temperature resistance.
