About the Product Family

HOSTAFORM® POM from Celanese is a semi-crystalline, thermoplastic polymer. HOSTAFORM® polyoxymethylene copolymer is a versatile engineering plastic with good wear resistance, hardness and rigidity. This POM material from Celanese is characterised by its good sliding friction behaviour, but also by its excellent dimensional stability, long-term creep resistance and outstanding resistance to moisture, alkaline solutions, fuels and many chemicals.

The chemical composition of Celanese's HOSTAFORM® makes it more resistant to thermal and oxidative degradation in comparison to acetal homopolymers. HOSTAFORM® POM can be easily and reliably processed using injection moulding or extrusion methods, and is also suitable for two-component injection moulding with thermoplastic elastomers.
