PEEK

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK)

High-performance Plastic PEEK

High-performance Plastic for Exceptional Applications

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) belongs to the group of high-temperature polymers. The material has several outstanding properties, including high continuous service temperature in excess of 240 °C, very good chemical resistance, inherent flame retardancy to UL 94 V-0, exceptional impact strength and minimal creep tendency. In addition, it has good resistance to UV radiation and excellent hydrolysis resistance up to 280 °C.

Application Examples of PEEK

PEEK is used when several unfavourable conditions meet, e.g. extreme operating temperatures, contact with aggressive media and unfavourable wear and friction conditions. Polyetheretherketone is clearly superior to other high-temperature polymers, due to its very high continuous service temperature.

Application areas can be found in the aviation and automotive industries, in the field of renewable energies, in the electrical/electronics industry and in medical engineering.

At K.D. Feddersen, you will find glass and carbon fibre reinforced and tribologically modified grades of this outstanding plastic.
