K.D. Feddersen Starts Distribution of Engineering Polymers in the UK
For Hamburg-based plastics distributor K.D. Feddersen, all the signs in Europe continue to point towards expansion. Since 1 July 2009, the German plastics distributor operates with an affiliated company in the UK. With the foundation of K.D. Feddersen UK Ltd. based in the area of Birmingham, K.D. Feddersen is to continue vigorously pursuing the timetable for expansion in Europe that it has set itself.
“As one of the leading plastics distributors in Western Europe, our company plans to carry out a series of further strategic expansions. Our aim is to offer fast and flexible solutions to our customers on a local basis and at an attractive price/performance ratio,” explains Karlheinz Schuster, Managing Director of K.D. Feddersen. Within the framework of its expansion strategy, K.D. Feddersen had already established K.D.F. Distribution in Shanghai in 1999, laid the foundation for its subsidiary in France through an acquisition in 2003 and acquired the Swedish company Materialdepån Norden AB in 2007, which was renamed as K.D. Feddersen Norden AB on 1 December 2008.
The comprehensive portfolio of engineering polymers in the UK and Northern Ireland includes PP-compounds, polyamides, POM, polyester, long-fibre reinforced thermoplastics and high performance polymers like PPA from renowned producers.
